der Flickr update

Sdtrk: ‘Ashes to ashes’ by David Bowie

Just a brief notice to inform all and sundry that Sidore-chan’s Flickr account has had two new photoshoots uploaded, ‘Velveteen bodice’, and ‘Skirt & crop’.
We’ve already run into a bottleneck with Flickr; if you have the basic account, it’ll only allow you to create three sets. You can upload as many pics as you wish, but you can only group them into three sets, which is just ridiculous. You get what you pay for, I suppose, but we do apologise for the inconvenience..
This just fills me with more of a burning fervor to start working on redesigning ‘Kitten with a Whip!’ Well, not so much burning, really; it’s more of a smoulder. But it’s a pretty damn hot smoulder.

Nevertheless, enjoy the photos! Leave a tasteful and/or witty comment, as Shi-chan loves receiving tasteful and/or witty comments

Greetings, DC and the lovely and exquisite Sidore-chan!

I flicked by the flicker-thingie and it’s so nice to see Her Majesty in all her glory 😀

Um, I hope you know that I don’t mean The Queen (*shudder*)

I’m deeply ensconced writing in Lil’y book these days, and am getting so far behind everything, though, including keeping in touch! Too impatient to leave any comments there, so I hope this little testimonial will suffice for Lily’s sweet sister 🙂

Back to work keep up the good fight 🙂

    Regards,

You’re getting far behind in everything? Heh, that’s my line. 😉 Good to see your convictions in finishing The Great Beast That Is That Book are still in place, though!

Sweetie and I do say Thanx for dropping round, and also Thanx for the VU linkage as well. Very nice!

The novel’s gotta be nearing its end by now! In the meantime, don’t neglect your lovely silicone Muse! She might start throwing things at you, and no-one wants that. 😉

Cheers from the pair of us!

We want some NEW photo’s, you must have some shadows you can use somewhere surely.

    Dont call me surely.

It’s nice to see Sidore-chan again and
Kuko-chan will make her envious as a parcel arrives soon with a nice EGL costume, its taken a long time coming, just need to find a “silly little hat”

    Salut
Rentell and the goyls [ to many to mention]

    Hello again,

Yes, DC, the novel was actually finished on Christmas Day 2003, but this is the last in a series of serious rewrites done to it since then. The first 68 “final-proof” pages are done though, leaving about um… 550 to go!
    :-O

Yer welcome re: the VU stuff; hope he finishes posting it up!

Heya Rentell (and your lovely goils, as Popeye would say),
Funny you mention Eno/Airport… I was just playing “Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)” and “Another Green World” a couple of days ago. I recently got “Another day on Earth” and was delighted to see that he had returned to his “A.G.W.” roots 🙂 Tiger Mountain has to be his best record IMHO… Robert Wyatt guesting (not to mention his furious timbales playing) adds a
unique flavor to this Eno-ism 🙂

    Regards all,

    Hey Rentell and ladeeez –
Oooh, some EGL kit for Kuko-chan? Good lord, I better make sure the Missus doesn’t see this, or she’ll want some, too!..
As far as those damned teacup hats, give eBay a whirl, searching under ‘gothic lolita’, and that should garner you some results.. Or you could just paint an actual teacup black, and strap it onto Kuko-chan’s head. She might not appreciate that, though. 🙂

As far as new photos, I’m thinking perhaps next year. Clicky Mk II’s limitations are starting to get the better of us, so I’ll be looking for a new camera after Xmas. Then we’ll see about some new photos. Unfortunately, you and your lasses seem to have raised the bar, so I dunno..

By the way Rentell, you’re such a goon. 😉

    PB Lily Shelley –
I think that’s really the second hardest part of writing a story — the editing. I think Sweetie’s favourite writer, Edward Gorey, brilliantly summed up the trials of writing in his book ‘The Unstrung Harp: or, Mr. Earbrass Writes a Novel’. I’m sure you’ll agree..

Keep at it! You’ll be done with the lot before you know it! Then, of course, it’ll be time to write another novel. 😉

  6. PBShelley writes:

Ah! Another Gorey fan! Splendid! Thanks for the link, I’ve added it to my “Writing” bookmarks (appropriately enough LOL).

One of my favorite records is “The Hapless Child, and other inscruatable stories” from “Amphigorey “…

(OMG… actually found a link for it!: http://www.mantlermusic.com/Records/Rec_comp/Rec_comp_sgles/hapless.htm). It features one of my Canterbury heroes, Robert Wyatt, formerly of Soft Machine (another Burroughs-influenced title).

As to Le Book, I’m back resuming with Part Two tomorrow after a leetle break to Take Care Of Business; hopefully be done with this Part before Christmas…

Regards to the Missus and thanks 🙂
