A clang, followed by another clang

Sdtrk: ‘Love of the loved’ by Cilla Black

Obviously Norelco were racking their brains, wondering how to specifically grab my attention. Gentlemen, your research dollars were not entirely wasted.

Much like Björk’s famous ‘All is full of love‘ video, the Heineken DraughtKeg Gynoid, and the lass from the Svedka vodka campaign from a couple of years ago, sexy machines are beginning to crop up everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but it’s a start. But when I see marketing like this, it gives me hope that more and more people are becoming more hip and open to the concept of Technosexuality. Fantastic!
She’s actually a live-action version of a character that appears in a Flash-animated serial called ‘Robot skin‘, that looks like a hideously-animated version of The Matrix… as sponsored by Norelco. They piqued my interest, but they failed to hold my interest. Back to the drawing board!

Personally, I prefer my Gynoids with fake skin (a fact well-documented), but I wouldn’t say no to any of these Sorayama-style Synthetiks, especially Norelco’s ‘Grooming Robot’. Shaving is a bloody hassle, but she’d definitely make it fun! Although it wouldn’t cut down on shaving time, meaning of course, ‘time not exactly spent shaving’, nudge nudge wink wink. There’s pros and cons to everything, really

Wow, what an amazing vid (and song)! :-O I love Bjork, but not so much as to have everything by her (yet). I immediately added it to my Favorite Videos, thereby successfully avoiding the inanity of the *shudder* YouTubian comments. YAY!

The Norelco ad was pretty intriguing, but agree with your sentiments… a step in the right direction 🙂

The very first time I saw the Heineken DraughtKeg commercial my mind totally went to you. I actually like that commercial. The Norelco commercial, however, is a lot sexier.

    ‘Alo to Shi-Chan!

    How’s your week been?

    Wow!

That Bjork video is technology at it’s most sensual!

Hopefuly society will react in a positive way tword technosexuality. But do you notice a trend? All gynoids, no androids. With females being the majority of the U.S. population, and an overall aging population, women could see synthetics as a threat. After all, if they don’t have a synthetic option, then gynoinds will be added competition for already scarce males. If we truely want technosexual acceptance, manufacturers must begin creating female friendly androids, i.e. light enough for them to handle or fully animated to help themselves. They wouldn’t have to be able to run. Just mobile enough for bed play and to get in and out of an office chair or wheelchair.

If we can get the ladies to accept it, then men will follow, because we’re men. And men are goal oriented. And our goal is to have as much sex as possible!

Mahtek, I’ve seen the pictures of male realdolls, and they ain’t pretty like the girlies.

But I’ve seen the sex toys the girls go for, so they might be happy with a blue, lucite, vibrating android.

    PBS, Sexy No.1 and Sexy No.2 –
Compared to her work with the Sugarcubes, Björk’s (‘rhymes with jerk’, as she once remarked) solo material doesn’t do a whole lot for me. ‘It’s oh so quiet’ is a winner, however. 🙂

From what I understand, she’s only a foot tall, as she’s half-elf. I read that on the Series of Tubes somewhere, and we all know everything in those tubes is 1000% true….

    barstowmum –
I would agree; that Norelco advert is sexier. I like the Heineken Gynoid and all, but she’s like 15% keg. However, that certainly gives her a unique advantage over other women, both Organik and Synthetik: some men are attracted to long blonde hair, some are turned on by sizeable bosoms. Some blokes are just looking for lasses with cold beverage storage capabilities in their midsections, and it appears their ship has finally come in.

And the Missus says ‘Hallo!’, naturally. 🙂

Ahh, the Maledoll. Too heavy for most women, too unattractive for most gay blokes. Poor silicone bastard.

    Mahtek –
You bring up a really valid point that I kinda wanted to address in the post itself, but I rushed that bad boy out before work: apart from one example, pop culture media has almost always used Gynoids as opposed to Androids in advertising. Well, in most media, really, but I’m trying to rein it in, here.
Most of the time, whenever a Synthetik human is used to sell something, it’s usually a Gynoid using sex appeal to sell a product to men. Sure, there are probably women out there who would love the idea of a Synthetik partner or playmate, but they’re an even less vocal minority than men who appreciate artificial female partners. I don’t know if it’s the whole blanket stereotype of ‘most women want a man who is sensitive and has feelings, whereas a man just wants a shag partner’, but I’d say evidence of vibrator and dildo sales kinda puts that theory to bed. It also ties in to what I’d remarked to SafeT: there’s only one choice of male RealDoll, and he’s no oil painting. You have to ask, is he not selling as well because he’s too heavy, or the face is kinda meh, or what?

You’re completely right — a lot of women might well be threatened by the beauty / availability of autonomous artificial females (Pandagon, I’m looking in your direction), but then, a sane and rational mind wouldn’t necessarily think that once Synthetiks are commonplace, that their presence will eliminate all possible chances for finding someone. Just because vanilla and strawberry milkshakes exist doesn’t mean you can no longer have chocolate. And not all Synthetiks would exclusively be partners or playthings — some would be made specifically for nursing, caretaking, retail/foodservice, etc. Something like artificial humans would only be beneficial to society.

See? This is exactly why I dinnae add that to the post proper, cos I knew I’d go into overtime… And that example with the Android that I was thinking of would be the Johnnie Walker ‘Keep Walking’ advert, by the way.

Wow! I love the video. I’m sure most men dream of having there women this way – the perfect wife ha ha!

  7. Davecat writes:

Shaving is a tiresome chore. If I could have a Gynoid version of Shi-chan shave me whenever I required, she’d be worth her weight in gold.
Well, let’s say platinum; it’s less tacky than gold.
