When you’re looking at life,
Deciphering scars,
Just who fooled who,
Sit still in their cars,
The lights look bright,
When you reach outside,
Time for one last ride,
Before the end of it all

Whats he got there? Looks almost lutish.

That would be a Vox Phantom II, one of the most fab guitars ever produced. Phantoms date from the early Sixties, and are usually affiliated with a lot of the British groups of the time.

It’s funny; Ian wasn’t really a guitar player. If you watch the video for ‘Love will tear us apart’, he’s got his Vox strapped on the entire time, but only plays some chords towards the end of the song…

You’d approve: they had a block of Joy Division on Sirius “Left of Center” channel that day.

When I was working that driving-autos-to-and-fro job for however many weeks, I’d always listen to ‘Left of Center’.
Radio that doesn’t make me want to chunder continuously? Unpossible!!
