    Yup. I personally am reminded of a line from the late great Babylon 5. To paraphrase:
    Character 1: This isn’t fair. I don’t deserve this.
    Character 2: Wouldn’t it be much worse if the universe WERE fair, and we all deserved all of the horrible things that happen to us?
